Strathmore & Perthshire Cricket Union - JuniorCricket

This page has been set up to provide you with information on Junior Cricket in the SPCU area.  Matches will be played at under 11, 13,15 and 18 level.

Both the SPCU and the local Development Groups agree that we want to see more junior matches played in 2017 and to do this we are allowing clubs the flexibility to play on the evening or day that suits them their players and volunteers and to choose the format of match the works for them.

Stephen Boyd the SPCU Junior Convenor has helpfully set out a few ideas already that could be used including what has worked in Australian junior cricket. These are formats piloted in Australia aimed at reducing time, increasing skills and action as well as the enjoyment of all participants. We also include some earlier trial formats put forward by Stephen that some clubs have said they still want to try.  Have a look at documents below, see what works for you and agree with your opposition contact what format you are playing before match day, its as easy as that.

We want feedback from players, parents, coaches and volunteers on what worked well as the season goes on and what could be improved so a specific SPCU Facebook Page has been set up to allow this SPCU Junior Cricket 2017,  it also provides a convenient communication tool to message those involved in both your own and other clubs.
