Meigle Cricket Club
Brief History -
From April to September cricket has been played in Meigle since 1876.
The Club plays at Victory Park at weekend afternoons and, with cars parked in the ground, picnics are popular. Practice Nights 6pm Monday and Thursday.
Currently a first, second and under 15 XI play in the Strathmore Union.
With Scotland players at all levels in their history, the Club has strong village and farming support. This shows in the family names carried over many years.
Success has come as Union Champions in 1929, 1954, 1961, 1980, 1998 and 2001.
